Samsung Galaxy R and Galaxy W : Convenient And Lucrative Way Of Communication - Technology - Cell Phones

The Samsung Galaxy R was the phone that was launched as a cheaper alternative to the Samsung Galaxy S2 and it has become extremely popular within a few weeks of its announcement. It has become so popular that Samsung has decided to launch a cheaper version of the Galaxy R itself. This will be the Galaxy W, which will be providing some of the features of the Galaxy R, but will be stripping down a majority of them in order to reduce the cost. The Galaxy R looks very much similar to the Galaxy S2, but the same cannot be said of the Galaxy W, which is slightly different.

However, it has to be said that both phones look extremely good and will be perfect in order to take on the competition that will certainly feature a HTC and Sony Ericsson phone. In such a situation, the Galaxy R and the Galaxy W need to be extremely good in terms of styling, which they clearly are. The Galaxy R will provide a 4.2 inch touch screen display that has a total capacity of providing up to 480 x 800 pixels, which is remarkable. This is slightly smaller than the 4.3 inch unit of the Galaxy S2. The Samsung Galaxy W, though, will be reducing on the features to such an extent that it will be coming with a 3.7 inch display only.

However, even in this 3.7 inch unit, Samsung will be providing a maximum resolution of up to 480 x 800 pixels, which makes it extremely brilliant in terms of the amount of detail that it can provide. The two screens will both support to the capacitive technology, which means that multi-touch and various other facilities will be available on them. The Galaxy R reduces a majority of the cost by utilising the 8 GB memory only in the phone, but the amount of memory in the Samsung Galaxy W is currently unavailable at the moment. However, both phones come with the external memory card support, which makes it possible to add up to 32 GB later on if you need.

Both the Galaxy R and the Samsung Galaxy W will both be extremely similar in one aspect - camera. The five megapixel autofocus camera provides sufficient imaging cover to take high definition videos along with great looking images. The presence of the 720 p HD video recording is standard in both phones, while the Samsung Galaxy W will be providing a VGA camera for video conferencing. Given that both phones will be running on the same Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, video conferencing is something that will be possible by the Qik method as of now. The update of the operating system is likely given the 1.2 GHz dual core processor in the Galaxy R and the 1.4 GHz single core processor in the Samsung Galaxy W. The two phones are expected to be available soon in the UK.
