Acer Liquid Mini Brings the New Stunning Features - Technology - Communication

The various tech shows being held all over the world provide an excellent opportunity for global manufacturers to showcase their products. Even though the manufacturers can launch their products anytime of the year, it is widely perceived that they will be getting a lot more attention when they launched during such tech shows. Acer seems to be following that strategy after they launched two new phones at the CES tech show conference in Las Vegas. The new phone that they introduced was the Acer Liquid Mini. Unlike the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and other high-end smart phones that were launched together with it, the new Acer Liquid Mini is not a high-end smart phone. Instead, it caters to the various aspirations of mid-segment buyers.

The Liquid Mini has a 3.2 inch HVGA capacitive touch screen display that is good enough for a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels, which is very good for a phone in this price bracket. The phone incorporates a five megapixel camera that can record videos at 480 p rather than in HD quality. However, the camera is so good that you will not be able to spot any differences between the two formats and it is sufficient to satisfy the usage of most people. If you are looking for a mobile phone camera that will let you do a professional photo-shoot, then one can straight away say that this phone's camera will not be able to satisfy your requirements. However, if you are looking for a decent camera, then it can wholeheartedly satisfy you.

The QUALCOMM MSM processor that is being rated at 600 MHz is the power behind the Android 2.2 operating system. While the phone incorporates the latest operating system, it is slightly lags behind in the processor power department. Yes, 600 MHz is sufficient for running this Android operating system version, but it could have certainly done with even more power. However, it seems that Acer has been limited by the lack of options and including a processor that is rated much higher will have resulted in significant cost increase. This would have turned off many buyers who were looking for a midrange smartphone, but are not prepared to pay over the odds for it.

Even though the phone is slightly lags in the power, it makes up for it in the connectivity options by being able to offer DLNA as a standard option. It is a feature that most manufacturers will shun away from, but Acer has confidently included this connectivity feature into its Acer Liquid Mini. One of the reasons for this phone being able to run the Android 2.2 operating system without too much of these difficulties is the 512 MB of RAM that is standard. This is plenty of RAM for a phone in this price packet and this would certainly appeal to a number of buyers in this segment. The phone is the latest announcement and it will be at least three months before it will be launched in the United Kingdom formally.
