It is often considered that the mid-range smartphones do not possess many features when compared with the high-end phones, which are available at a much higher price. One can also remove the 2 GB card in favour of the 32 GB card, which is the absolute maximum limit when it comes to storing content on the phone. The Samsung Galaxy Mini will be able to provide such a 600 MHz processor that is used for running the operating system along with various other applications. Given that the phone has to run other high end applications, Samsung has provided only the Android 2.2 operating system for the phone.
It has also not confirmed the availability of the 2.3 version on the Galaxy Mini, but there are rumours that this version will be available on the phone soon. The Samsung Galaxy Mini will also provide the option of a 3.15 megapixel camera that provides the phone with video recording option as well. Even though the videos will be recorded only in the QVGA format, it is better than nothing. Usually, you do not get such options in the mid-range smartphone segment, but the Galaxy Mini changes the definition entirely. That will be available for as low as 7 per month in the UK.
